What is Poetry ? Everyone can not become a poet by merely memorizing hundreds of verses. A person may say few verses but he can not bring the sensitiveness, thought, emotion, feelings, poetry is based upon. Feeling of beauty of nature, emotion and depicting it through the words are hallmark of poet and it is intrinsic. Williom Wordsworth said “ Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful emotion ….. recollected in tranquility.” Sameer was tantamount of all characteristics on which a poet could have been defined. He had feeling, emotion, sensitiveness that is why whenever he looked at the beauty of nature, words in praise flow from his pen and it would get in form of poetry.
