All the World’s a Stage
“All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages……………………….”
( Monologue from William Shakespeare’s As you like it)And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages……………………….”
How did the universe come into existence may be enigma for human mind but one thing is clear that with the passage of time, privileged minds on the earth have left no stone unturned in their endeavor to dig out the mystery. Scientists have been playing role of like a small kid of the family where parents or guardian guide their wards, teach them and train them as to how to lead the lives so that one day they also play role of parents, guardian. This relation of parents and wards brings about a lot of changes on various levels.. Mystery of formation of universe though could not be found yet, but in the process of transferring the hierarchy, privileged mind at least reached to position where they are able play the role of torch bearers.
World is undoubtedly stage and men and women are players on the stage. They have to play various roles on the stage as per demand of situation, story and fact of the matter is that we also become audiences and spectators of our own acts we play on the stage. When we sit alone we visualize our acting skills, Sometimes our performance make us laugh, sometimes make us weep, sometimes we feel proud of our own acting skills. World has provided spacious place to every individual to perform, visualize their own performance, hone their skill and rectify the mistakes in case found their acts not up to the mark, sub-standard, keep empowering themselves to make better.
Apart from playing different roles, we are also writer of our own story as the stage is generous enough it empowers the players to adore big role, medium, small whatever role men and women feel comfortable in. We not only change our roles as per our choices but also at some point of time also becomes writer of story of the stage we attaché to.
Some play roles of different character as per the requirement of stage, some play role of technicians, decorators, spot boys etcetera but at the end of the day those who are strong in their skills survive on the stage. Stage gives immense freedom to switch over to others kinds of role if they don’t feel comfortable in particular field they could choose the area they feel complacent so that they remained part of the stage. Players who become critics of our own role or take into account the feedback of the others later emerge big players of the stage.
We do play our part which is assigned according to requirement by the backstage director, but those who learn how to play the role adroitly leave an indelible mark on the stage, these very people even if leave the stage but succeed in making the stage more attractive, beautiful and a place where new entrants enjoy the stage and this cycle keep continuing until we succeed in finding some more secrets of this magnificent stage, about the reason of some quick exit of players, and search prospect of longevity of new entrants on the stage.
It is said that backstage director keep enjoying having watched the performance of the actors, some get appreciation, some get rejection later given different roles, some even get privilege of being hired to assist in directing, story writing.
Players who get the privilege status on stage later play the role of story writer, director but nobody can deny from this reality that whatever role a person play on the stage he has to anyhow leave the stage one day to an unknown destination, depart for a new stage where he probably is new entrant, a mystery which can be solved only when privileged mind will be able to solve the mystery as to how did the universe came into existence………..
