Short
Story
His
withered look, fragile mental toughness, a feeling of deep void in his
erstwhile ambition manifest enough that he is now no longer a player in the race
of mission he wanted to prove himself. When he looks in front of mirror he is still
proud of his so called macho man image through which he had prepared himself to win over Pooja, his only love who he wanted
to make her lifetime partner, a companion of his loneliness which he could not
make it even after pursuing her for so many years. No Pooja promised him to
accompany him as long as he wished to be with her.
Saurabh was
an inborn ambitious ruffian who wanted to go with the time. Though his behavior
always sometimes proved to be stupid since he was not so mature like his other
friends. Either his ambition led him to wrong direction or he was forced by
surroundings to let him remain an incomplete ruffian. One day a movie had
changed him completely. Saurabh reversed several time the dialogue of the movie.
Dad: Beta Prem ! How are you doing.
Prem: Don’t worry Dad. I am Alright. Kaam he meri Pooja
hae, Aur Pooja he hae mera kaam.
Saurabh
always kept mumbling Kaam he meri Pooja hae. Aur Pooja he hae mera kaam. First
he evaluated himself if he had enough
potential to win over her. He looked around compared himself with others in
respect of fighting spirit, weapon he could use to win her heart, threaten if one comes in way. Eventually his
macho man image, overall brimful enthusiasm and ruffian instinct inspired him
to leave his home in search of Pooja. Gentlemen around him were more than happy
when he run away from home in search of her
calling hilariously ‘K.k.k.krann where are you like Shah Khan. He landed in a
strange place with a vision. Beautiful dream of lovely Pooja. After incessant
effort he spotted a mediocre little Pooja, who was also looking for companion Saurabh
immediately offered his hand she also accepted silently having ignored others because
Saurabh looked more eligible for her although he realized that she did not fit
the bill of his ruffian image but he could not wait much for a better a one. Friendship
between them could not remain longer as parents of her objected his dubious behavior
as if he was cheating both of them, playing a role of a flirtatious with no
possibility of fruitful ending. Saurabh had no compunction for severing her
relation. Apart from his increasing experiences of how to pursue his love Saurabh
had by far also known the places where he could spot his choices. During the
journey of his mission he befriended with many but failed to continue longer with
any one of them due to one or another reason consequently his image has become like
serial Kisser.
His new
image of serial kisser made it more difficult to get a new lovely Pooja who
could stay with him longer. His ruffian image with inadequate experience of long
companionship with even a beautiful Pooja had marred the prospect of getting
desired lovely Pooja for a longer period. Hence he decided to leave the place and
jumped into glamorous world where he tried his luck like so many others. Although
he got satisfaction by getting close to some glamour about which he used to
dream. He enjoyed their companionship but here too he failed to befriended
longer. So many Poojas came into his contact in glamour world but all had
rejected to stay with him longer. His indefatigable courage was now dying down
but he was not completely disheartened.
One day Saurabh
was preparing to go out suddenly his eye stopped on a birth day gift sent by
one of his girl friends. On top of a birthday gift a sentence was written in
bold letter “ My dear Saurabh. You are overage now !”
Saurabh
looked into mirror combing his hair through tips of fingers. When he looked
straight into mirror snapshots of every
single Pooja whom he used to be earlier closer kept coming one by one,
laughing, ridiculing, scoffing commenting. “ Oh Saurabh, Be manipulative man,
Why don’t you become like others ? Why don’t you follow others who have won our
hearts ? You looser ! Why don’t you apply your minds ? You old man ! Stupid so
called ruffian ! Remember! I liked you but you left me in lurch ? I hate you ! First
identify your shortcomings, weakness, work on it only then I shall stay with you
as long as you wish! Hello Saurabh ! Have you forgotten me I am your Kkkkkran! Don’t
you feel ashamed of going back empty without taking even one of us! Get lost and never come again !
All such
scoffing, advises, ridicules were enough
to give him message that either he exploited them or he was exploited by such Poojas for whom he
had left his home.
Saurabh
had returned to his village with a new plan in his mind besides gentlemen around
also wanted him to be a sensible person so he joined a small company working as
a secretary to General Manager but he is still hoping and dreaming of a Pooja
who sit with him, caress him, give him a long hug, remove his loneliness.
