Straight View – in few words

It is very difficult to define true meaning of patriotism but present situation of  the country is redefining the meaning of  patriotism because Kashmir is being made a parameter to assess the patriotism, because raising a voice against injustice is tantamount of an act of betrayal, because image of an institution of secular credential is being tarnished that have been giving policy makers to the country. Politics on patriotism is now a new issue of present regime and perhaps one of the strongest weapons to wipe out those who differ their ideology.   
 
Campus of JNU has been a prime center of making an opinion on numerous critical issues that country face therefore students have often been raising different issues inside the campus so even raising anti-national slogan inside the campus is not new. One side present regime will try to capitalize it for the coming election on the other hand their student wing also want to make stronghold inside the campus. After all issue  of patriotism is very sensitive just like issue of Mandir and Masjid.
 
Arresting of president of JNU student Union, a native of Bihar is undoubtedly a result of  ideological differences, it doesn’t pertain to patriotism or unpatriotic. In recent interview congress leader Manish Tiwari quoted Samuel Johnson ‘ Patriotism is the last refuge of scoundrel’. So the way ruling party has raised issue of anti-national slogan in JNU campus for polarizing the mass and suppressing others view indicate that we are heading towards autocratic style of functioning of democracy.

One of the realities.... Despite realizing the fact that each one of us makes one's own strategies, planning at one’s own level in order to control the circumstances which directly or indirectly may affect daily life.
