 'If I get selected they will also ask for me residence proof .” Avinash asked showing his concern.

“Certainly, You will have to give proof of residence”

'Don’t worry, as you told that your friends are supposed to come and you are going to take flat on rent so that tenant agreement will help you.”

In call center some of Nisar's  friends were surprised as to  why he was working on lesser salary even after getting  more in gulf . He would try to convince them that working environment were not healthy besides he couldn't adjust himself over there. Nisar had given few interview in his field even though he was aware about the  result  since  his past experience  in companies of middle east  had not been being  entertained. His demoralized confidence further kept on going down.

" I think you lack how to  maneuver  and face the dexterity of people'

'What is dexterity ?  This is called meanness, Nisar got irritated over this comment.

''No. this is called intelligency, wisdom.’  Avinash tried convincing him in his own way.

'You know intelligent  parents cry when they find  their children  lack MEAN STREAK in their nature. They are afraid how they will  cop up the world  without  this trait.' Nisar said

What is MEAN STREAK' .? Avinash asked

' This is inborn weapon to win the world,' Nisar said smilingly ,' Dont give pressure on your mind.' Nisar went on.

' I am trying to understand your perception.In my view your frustration have infused such thoughts in your mind.' Avinash said

Nisar shrugged his shoulder telling 'Perhaps'

'I understand people who manipulate against me but i coudnt  reply them in same way as i lacked that art or say  insecurity in me which stopped me to retort in same way. I am not that much street smart that is why people always played with me” Nisar said

one of my well wishers still I suspect his generous advice since i worked under him he might have  perceived me and  my attitude so he advised me indirectly

“Be offensive and replied in diplomatic way.'

“Such traits are in not my nature. I had never been a diplomatic just like others that is the main reason I am  not suitable to continue in environment.'

“Then  go home, do business  or  join school  teach the boys how to face the world" Avinash  said  laughing .
''Your advises seem good  as there are no leg pulling or politics in these profession.  i am perfect in pitching and also had enough confidence to convince tiny tots. One of my acquaintace told me that I should make profession in  law as  i argue so much..' Nisar laughed


'No comment' Avinash shook his head.

" if you don’t mind, can i ask question" Avinash said stopping his arguement.

" No issue, tell frankly,”  Nisar gasped

“I have not seen you calling at your home and  didn’t see you even receiving call. Is there any issue between you and your family members "

" See,  truth is that i am not very comfortable talking on telephone that is why i don’t talk to them" Nisar defended.

" You didn’t reply me honestly the reason behind your distant relation with your family. '

" No, I am telling fact" Nisar replied  looking little angry on Avinash,s rigidness

I remember  once you told me that you are very much family oriented. I have been with you for long time but I  didn’t see speaking to your family members. I got several call from my Mom and Dad during such short period” Avinash said earnestly.

" You are new in city and you had never been here before ,that is why they keep  you calling. When i came out in search of jobs, my parents also used to call me, asked about my health etc.'

"You are right to an extent  but you are somewhere hiding from me  your unsteady relation with your family. If You don’twant to share  with me. I will not insist." Avinash  said

Both  stopped at snack  shop and had enjoyed samosa ragda.

' you know in Bihar we call it Samoa Chatt.' Avinash said pouring spoon full in his mouth.

' Am I not from  Bihar' ? Nisar said sipping water. Avinash smiled back .After finishing their respective plates both moved.

" I will have to admit that you are greater walker. I can never roam on foot  the way you have' Avinash  said when Nisar  told him  that within 5 to ten minutes they  will be reaching  to  guest house.

Nisar  laughed and  caught his arm stopping him to move while crossing the road to let the bus past which was coming from left of road.

Both  came to  guest house  around 4 pm, reclined themselves  on their respective bed just then Avinash ,s mobile rang. He looked at number attentively it was new number. Avinash switched on and moved to the corner in order to listen clearly.

" Hello"

" Is this Avinash Sinha'

"Yes" Avinash  replied and turned his  face  to room boy and Nisar who were  sitting on bed directing  them to slow down the volume of TV

" Mr Avinash, My name is  Mukund Grover, calling from Bux  Infrastructure . We got your resume  that you had sent for the position of site engineer Where are you right now"

" I am in Bombay sir"

"Can you come down in hotel SAMTA for an interview tomorrow by 11 o clock in morning with all your certificates.

" Ok sir. "

" I am sending you  address of hotel through sms.”

" Ok, I shall come tomorrow "Avinash  replied hastily

" By, See you tomorrow.'

Their  brief talk ended up with thanks by Avinash.

Avinash came back to his  bed throwing his mobile on bed.

This call was from Bux infra for interview ." Avinash said to Nisar and sat on his bed 

“All the best  good luck" Nisar said smiling

Mobile of Avinash buzzed again. It was sms sent by Mr Mukund Grover.

Avinash pulled his  bag out from locker, compiled all documents in order and then put it inside again. Avinash showed address to Nisar .

"You will not have  problem of changing train on the way. Catch the train which goes to Andheri and got down at vile parle. Take auto from west, it will take only ten minutes from station to hotel." Nisar  said giving mobile back to him
 
 That night Avinash  was a bit  reckless, he kept on tossing on bed thinking about  interview perhaps he was looking positive too.

Next morning after taking light breakfast. Avinash went to station fortunately he had not to line up in que as one of the  mate from guest house  was already in que and almost near to ticket counter  when he saw Avinash , he smiled . Avinash  went to him and gave 10 rupee and requested him to take one return ticket to vile parle. 

Avinash  reached at venu half an hour before the schedule

He went inside the  hotel at 11. He was a little nervous but  when he  came out  from the hotel  at 1 o clock he  was looking  happy he had been been selected.   
               
                                 
Avinash  gave pleasant news as soon as he entered in guest hous . Nisar was  watching movie and perhaps waiting for him  impatiently to know the result. since Avinash  had not taken lunch so he had purchased two sandwitches  from shop on his  way to  guest house. He offered one to Nisar but he refused to take as he had already taken lunch by then.

Avinash had been selected for the position of  Site Engineer. Bux Infra had gotten small  project of installation of AC plant in an under construction Mall.  Mr Mukund , Project Manager during interview  told him  that this project was of few months. Avinash accepted  the offer at once without thinking over the offer. He convinced himself that  it is better to engage somewhere instead of waiting for some good opportunity.

“ Where is office of company” Nisar asked , going through the offer letter.

'Company had not yet opened its office in Mumbai. Project Manager visits  main office in Hyderabad  every fortnight  to submit progress report. Mr Mukund also told him  that some project is also in pipeline in Maharashtra.

“ It is new company” Nisar interrupted

' No it is well established company. I have gone through the web site of company too  I t has been in construction field since 1997 but in Bombay  had got its first project.and good news is that project Manager didn’t ask my proof of local address. When I told him that I am living with friend of my uncle. He told me to give permanent address only' that I have to submit tomorrow”

It is indeed good news. I advise you not to live in this atmosphere now. Better to shift in some other place at least that will be better than this.”

Habits die hard People keep changing their hobbies with the time and circumstances but if anyone of us get addicted to any particular hobby it becomes difficult to quit it easily that is why one had said ‘ Habits die hard.’ Although I disliked company of one of my close acquaintances , Shahrukh, who was known for his cynical behavior and fastidious attitude nevertheless I have always enjoyed his logic and reasons which he used to put during the arguments whenever we used to sit together. One of the realities.... Despite realizing the fact that each one of us makes one's own strategies, planning at one’s own level in order to control the circumstances which directly or indirectly may affect daily life.
